An exclusive collection of tasar sarees handpainted using the 'kalamkari' technique.
The craft originates from Andhra Pradesh, and is practised by artisans in Srikalahasti. The sarees depict elaborate mythological themes from the Ramayana and Mahabharata and a distinct imagery and iconography for its Gods, Goddesses, birds and animals. Motifs of flowers, paisleys, elephants and peacocks are also commonly used to depict the stories. Artisans use a mix of natural dyes to create shades of madder red, indigoes, mustards and blacks.
